Celebrate International Faerie Day in the Enchanting Realm of the Isle of Skye
Nestled within the rolling hills of Scotland lies the mystical faerie realm of the Isle of Skye. Here, lush green hills, shaped by ancient grey stones, cradle the enchanting Faerie Pools scattered throughout the valley. This moss-covered landscape, imbued with sacred energy, belongs to the fae.
Standing atop these hills, you can witness the ocean gently kissing the shore while the mossy stone mountains embrace the ruins of ancient castles. In this magical setting, the fae invite you to immerse yourself in the wonder of their lands.
This Chrysanthemum stone features a naturally occurring shadow resembling a faerie on its inky surface. 🌑 Known for its mystical properties, the Chrysanthemum stone helps you manifest your dreams and deepen your connection to your intuition. Placing this stone by your bed can foster a connection with the fae in your dreams. Representing the balance of light and darkness, this stone harmonizes with both the full and new moon, making it a powerful tool for spiritual growth and transformation.

~ 🧚🏻‍♀️ Happy International Faerie Day 🧚🏻‍♀️ ~
Aesthetic goals ✨
According to lore, we're descended from faeries, cos of being one of the five royal Irish families haunted by the Banshee who haunts her own family. My family talked about seeing her, too. I come from a very superstitious family. So, in MQ the webcomic, I have been redesigning my homemade character who is me to have a faerie aesthetic akin to this. 🧚🏻‍♀️

Happy International Faerie Day 2023!
flickr
Happy International Faerie Day 2023! by raaen99 Via Flickr: Did you know that today, the 24th of June, is International Faerie Day? Now, just by chance I was out in my garden when I happened upon a rather large toadstool growing out of the lawn, near a bank of camellias. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the toadstool had a carefully concealed door and two little windows in it. So I sat very quietly and carefully nearby, and I waited... and waited... and waited. Finally my patience paid off when the little door sprung open and out popped two faeries. The first was a little toadstool faerie, who wore a red hat speckled with white spots, rather like their faerie toadstool house. With red hair streaming down her back, she was perhaps a little bolder than her friend the hyacinth faerie, who was trepidatious as she poked her head out the door, before following cautiously in her faerie friend's footsteps. So you see, there are faeries in your garden. You just need to be quiet and patient. And of course you need to believe in faeries. You do, don't you? Fairies have existed in just about every culture over the world, though they may have been called by different names. What they have in common, no matter where you go, is that they are spirits that inhabit the world around us and often operate by strange and often odd laws. That’s about where the similarities end, and where the amazingly diverse concepts that are the fae begin. We’ve all heard of the winged fairies that flit around flowers and are always drawn like butterfly winged cherubs of slight form, but did you know that Dwarves and Gnomes are also part of the fae family? These creatures were common among the Germanic folk, and especially those who worked in mines and mountains. Knockers were a form of fairy that lived in mines and would ‘knock’ to warn miners of pending cave-ins and danger, hence their name. Celebrate International Fairy Day today by participating in one of the many festivals and celebrations that have formed around the world to honor these mythical creatures. Or you can have a little festival at home by having a fairy themed party with your friends and family! Whatever you do, don’t forget to honor the fae in your own home and garden by leaving out a plate with biscuits or cake and a small portion of milk or wine. They will appreciate it no end, and bring you happiness, good luck and health as faerie wishes. to you for your kindness and generosity. I would like to acknowledge and thank my Flickr Friend Red Stilletto www.flickr.com/photos/thevixen/ for inspiring me to use the pairing of two images and the application of a wide white frame. Both of these design elements she uses to create great impact with her own images. The two little faeries are hand made and felted by Ambrosius and were acquired from Epoche Toys and Gifts in the small township of Kallista in the Dandenong Ranges, just outside of Melbourne. The Toadstool Basket is made of rattan and has been hand woven and painted for the sustainable Australian toy company established by two sisters - Olli Ella. It has a flip top that can be unfastened as well as a front door that may be opened.

!! Happy International Asexuality Day !!
Hugs and cake and solidarity, my lovely fellow aces, all around the world! 🖤🤍💜
Though it’s taken me a long time to come to terms with who I am, I am proud to be under the asexual umbrella, as much as I am proud I’m queer at all, and as much as I am proud to have gotten through everything that’s happened that got me to this moment. Standing here, writing this post. May we build a world where we can all be free to be who we are, and support each other in love and community, no matter what.
I’ve seen a lot of discourse about aces who had the experience of never thinking that something was wrong with them – thinking that they were the only ones being reasonable about things when A Certain Thing Happened. And whether or not that was the prevailing experience, it wasn’t mine. I absolutely thought something was wrong with me. Maybe part of that is being demisexual, not just asexual, and being (what some would deem) hyper-romantic. But I expected certain things to happen for me, and they kind of do, but apparently on very different terms than what society expects. I feel blessed to know, now, that I am not broken. And I hope that anyone else who’s struggling with the same kind of feelings I did can come to that peace, too (and faster than I did!).
Art above featuring “Tock the Gnome,” as always. Representation matters!! And on that note, in honor of the day, here’s a preview of some bonus story that will be available in full soon:
~
Suddenly she found herself falling backwards – landing flat on her back on the ground, her best friend blinking down at her with his jacket on and a basket at the crook of his arm.
“Tock, by Anosmia’s Keys, WHAT under earth -“
She burst into tears.
To which he looked panicked as ever he had, and reached down to gather her up and get her inside before anyone saw.
“What? What is it?” he demanded – slightly sympathetically, slightly exasperatedly – once he finally had the door shut behind them.
She nursed one newly sore elbow, the tears still flowing, but wouldn’t meet his gaze. “It’s nothing. It’s stupid.”
Sighing again, he put the basket on the nearest countertop, bending to lift the wreath off the floor. “Oh surely. This is beautiful, but not beautiful enough to cry over.”
“You don’t have to give me fearful frights about it,” she snapped.
He glared at her, one eyebrow raised. “That is vulgar. And not fair.”
“FINE. If you must know, it’s over. With Derra.”
“…..Okay.”
“What do you mean, okay?” She turned around in a swirl of bronzey skirts, taking a seat three tables away from him, just to be provoking. “I finally put myself – my heart – out there again, and I couldn’t get crushed over her. I can’t do it. I can’t. Even with Copper, even with Lorna, it took me so much to…. something is WRONG with me.”
“I have heard you don’t have to want to go beyond bundling with every person you set your eyes on, Tock. Maybe it’s just -“
“No, it’s different.” She ran her hands through her hair. “I’m different. It takes me so long to get there, if I ever get there, and that’s not enough for so many people. The legends never talk like this!! In the legends, it’s ALWAYS something fast, that clicks in place, and nobody’s ever confused or waiting.”
He sat down next to her, carefully. The wreath turned a slow circuit in his fingers. “…..You said before, you do not think something is wrong with me, Tock.”
She whirled toward him, aghast. “Of course not!”
“Well – then nothing is wrong with YOU, either. So it takes you a while to make that connection, if you ever do, and that’s all that gets you to the kind of relationship our people seem to expect? So what? It’s YOUR life and YOUR heart.”
He bumped her shoulder with his, putting the wreath back into her lap without looking at her.
“No one gets to tell you how to love.”
~
(And sending so much love, to you all!)
💜

Late to the party as per usual, but I hope everyone listened to Thank God I'm Pretty on international women's day. ( A day that I actually despise because it only blatantly points out the fact that every other fucking day is men's day, which it is, but I digress)

A Genealogy of Fairies
It’s surely no accident that some wise people have chosen the Midsummer season for International Fairy Day. The mythical creatures are associated with this time of year, for literary reasons yes, but before that, for explanations surely more related to folk culture and the seasonal appearance of creatures like butterflies, dragonflies, fireflies, bats, and so forth. Things flit through the air in…

i think the thing that frustrates me the most about feyre's character post-acotar — hell, even post-acomaf — is that she stops being a character past that point in the series. acomaf, i can still see elements of feyre's original character, but i think acowar and beyond (especially acofas and acosf) is where her character devolves completely into something virtually unrecognizable. and this, in my opinion, is because once she and rhysand become established in their relationship, her entire characterization starts to revolve around him.
prior to acomaf/acowar, feyre has a personality independent of the relationships she has with other people. her characterization has its flaws, as the first book is flawed as a whole, but she's generally a decently-crafted character. feyre is an interesting character because, in the first portion of the book, we learn that she's a jaded, clever huntress who is willing to kill to survive and make painful decisions for the good of herself and her family. she's bitter, resentful, and miserable, and the crux of her life revolves around survival.
but then we learn new things. feyre loves painting, and if she had a choice, she'd marry off her sisters and live peacefully with her father, spending her days painting anything her heart could desire. she's capable and an able killer, but her dreams and wants are for a peaceful life. these desires are expanded upon later in the book when we learn that, if given the option, feyre wouldn't kill. she's jaded and can come off as someone who'd be a stereotypical "girlboss," badass killer. but in reality, feyre doesn't like bloodshed. she doesn't like killing, and if she had it her way, she'd never kill another living thing again.
this is interesting. acotar!feyre is actually a very interesting and dynamic character when compared to who she becomes in later books. she has an internal conflict that affects every aspect of who she is, and it is this conflict that is so deeply tied to what she's forced to do in the climax of the story: either kill innocent faeries or watch as the love of her life dies before her very eyes. this final trial is so painful because it's been established that, in a peaceful environment, a killer is not someone feyre wants to be, and a killer is instead what she's forced to become.
then, of course, acomaf happens and yada, yada, yada. she's still a relatively interesting character on her own, if (arguably) ooc, but has an independent characterization regardless. it's after this book where things take a turn for the worse.
in acowar, feyre is no longer the character who protects the "little guy" and would give up petty jewels to make sure a faerie can eat. she's no longer the character who acts based on her morals and inherent humanity, rather than faerie logic. instead, she's the character who destabilizes an entire court on the brink of war, uncaring of the consequences to the people of spring. in acofas, she's buying another goddamn house while people in velaris and beyond are struggling to make ends' meet following the war that she and rhys dragged them into. in acosf, she's doing the same fucking thing to nesta that destroyed and traumatized her a few books previous, and she's become the glorified housewife to rhysand. she's having his kid when she's not even 25 yet. she's being paraded around like some prized horse. she's sitting around, painting and decorating houses, while rhys does all the actual politicking. she's exactly what she feared she'd become in acomaf, and there's no consequence whatsoever.
this is not the feyre of acotar. this feyre is the faceless, empty love interest to the real main character: rhysand. she's a reflection of him. that's why she went from the woman who feels uncomfortable wearing fancy jewels to the woman who'd spend her newfound millions on frivolous lingerie rather than do anything meaningful with her position as high lady. that's why she went from the character who had respect and a new understanding of nesta in book 1, to the character that'd do such horrendous things to her in acosf. that's why she stands around and lets rhys and amren bully and degrade nesta. she's not a character anymore. she's just rhysand's mate.

Okay so
It's not my favorite thing when people tag content/spells/rituals/experiences as being #tradition Y when they are actually part of #tradition X.
And I get that most people are probably just using an internal sorting system and that is how they are collecting and sorting posts for themselves. Which is at worst just confusing for people trying to understand traditions, but honestly its just a personal sorting system. It is what it is.
But it isn't appropriate to get into someone's notes and start to argue that the content is actually tradition Y.
Occult bloggers aren't dead authors who published books 50 years ago and now it's time to dissect their practice with Discourse™.
Like if someone woke up a year ago and decided to start practicing something they call Techno-Animist Faerie Cunning, then it's wild to wake up this morning and go into their posts and say, "actually, this looks like folk catholicism to me! Because of how the rubber ducky is an intercessor for the printer, just as the saints are an intercessor for God :)"
You know?
I think it's decent to focus on the idea that when you see people sharing their practice online, even if they are publishing Content™, they are present-day practitioners with real lives who's labels are not automatically up for debate.

In conversation with Holly Black - The Stolen Heir Tour 2023
PLEASE do not repost anywhere without due credits.
It was so amazing finally meeting Holly in person (and gush about how much I love Cardan and Jude and Cardan. And yes also bargain with her about writing Cardan POV books. At least she listened to me intently and said “We will see about it some day!” 👀)
Here are a few things she answered at tonight’s event:
- Her favourite character is Jude.
- Their favourite Starbucks drinks as per her: Jude ‘s will be Frappuccino, Cardan’s is Espresso (and she added an obviously), Oak’s will be matcha green tea latte.
- There will be another series in Elfhame/Faerie after she finished Book of Night sequel, TSH 2 and one more book. She said we will know if there will be more Faerie books, and on whom, by the end of TSH 2.
- Cardan had more siblings who got cut out last minute because she felt his family was too big.
- Qon serpent track was last minute, all she knew was that Cardan had to be in danger and separated from Jude in some way.
- The above point is because she always intended Jude to figure out how to be Queen on her own and needed Cardan away for that. Because Jude’s character arc had to include her having all the power she always craved and still choosing family and love over it.
- Holly likes hooves 💀
- She wanted to draw parallels between Suren and Jude and their choices.
- She will not write about what Jude Cardan were up to in the years between QoN and TSH because she doesn’t know it herself yet.
- Somebody actually asked if Jude Jude Jude letter had cum splatters OMFG. She clarified that no, they are indeed ink stains 💀
- One thing about Cardan that she feels is the most over looked is the fact that people ATE the snake in the end of Qon lmaooo. She cracked up here 😭💀
- She always wanted to write a character with a tail and this was part of Cardan’s characterization since the beginning.
- Her choice of Cardan in live action - she just wants a good actor that’s it lol
- She wouldn’t write a book on Madoc Eva because it’s too tragic and devastating, though maybe she might add in bits in some other story
- She doesn’t know how to write adult Cardan lmfao 💀 but she said she will figure it out 👀 (internally screamed here because WHAT does this mean??) She also said the sex scenes were short and her editor asked her to make them longer 😭🤣 (she said she does understand what we’re asking lmaoo)
- She never reads her fan fiction because she would feel tempted to change what’s in her mind
Question I asked: Her side characters are as interesting as main ones. Will we see Court of Shadows again? (Round about way of asking more about Jurdan lol)
Holly’s answer: TSH was a road trip book so it was set away from Elfhame and we didn’t meet most of the old characters. But we’ll be closer (or in *she winks*) Elfhame in the next one and we will see many of the old characters (shrugs)

—ADRONITIS | One
Tumblr media
Pairing: Wednesday Addams x OFC/Fem!Reader
Summary: Wednesday's quite aware she has no people skills, but that doesn't stop her from wondering why she can't know everything about one person immediately.
Warnings: None.
Series Masterlist || Library Blog || AO3
Reminder there's no taglist but you can follow my library blog for notifications 💘
Count: 1.9k
⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷†⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
Adronitis: noun. The frustration with how long it takes to get to know someone.
⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷†⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
Everyone who knows Wednesday can confidently say she's not a people person, and even Wednesday herself can tell you she's not. People are strange, annoying, emotional creatures that she's fairly certain she lacks a particular trait to handle.
Of course, some individuals have unfortunately made it past her prickly walls. Her roommate and begrudgingly best friend, Enid, can be tolerated in longer spurts. Eugene is just another Pugsley, so she has to look after him. She supposes Xavier isn't dreadful to deal with. Now.
Would Wednesday commit first-degree murder for them? Yes, but that's not the point.
The point—what was the point?
Wednesday internally huffs with annoyance. She's an articulate person, but lately, she isn't.
Reluctantly, Wednesday's eyes trail to the side, where she sees her reason for inarticulation.
"Ah, so this is why you're sitting in the courtyard today," Enid smiles innocently, but Wednesday can see the knowing look in her eyes and purses her lips in a scowl as her eyes return to her book. She's finally gotten her hands on Goody's spellbook, and she's been trying to finish reading it for weeks.
But alas...she's been...distracted.
"I don't blame you," Enid sighs as she looks over to where Wednesday was just gazing. "Everyone's looking at our resident Faerie. I wish she'd sit at our table today."
Wednesday silently agrees but tells herself she didn't. But she did. It's been nearly a week since you've sat with their tiny group of weirdos. Heroes, but weirdos.
Today, you're sitting with the fangs, and Wednesday just can't fathom why. She gets your little rotation schedule, but vampires were so overrated, and from the small conversations she's heard here and there—incredibly boring.
Who cares about their diet? Wednesday thinks they lack innovation if their only choices are humans or animals (because, quite frankly, another outcast could kick their ass).
Yet, you sit there, smiling serenely and nodding with genuine interest. You ask questions and laugh at their witless jokes, and it drives Wednesday crazy.
Wednesday doesn't understand your sense of humor. Although, no one understands Wednesday's sense of humor either. That's usually the pattern. Sometimes, it feels like you and she are two sides of the same coin.
You're both very different at Nevermore. While you're both outcasts within the outcasts, it's not the same. Whereas Wednesday didn't understand people, and they didn't gravitate toward her, people seemed to argue for your time.
Hence, why you sat at a different lunch table every day.
Wednesday's mind drifts as she frowns. There's little known about Faeries as they're usually recluses, and there are so few of them. Especially night faeries.
But now, it makes her wonder. Are Faeries like sirens? Do they lure everyone in their proximity without choice? That would certainly make more sense on Wednesday, and it would explain her recent behavior.
Wednesday frowns deeper. Principal Weems has already sternly told others that while the Faeries are extremely beautiful and charming, they have no such powers.
So, Wednesday was at a loss. She was beginning to think this school was designed to be the bane of her existence. Unwillingly, her gaze drifted again, but this time, you turned your head simultaneously and caught her eye.
You smile soft and sincere but unobtrusively at her, and Wednesday looks away, her face impassive.
It wasn't unusual.
This was exactly how all her interactions with you went. Very often, no words are exchanged, but you smile and wave at her as you pass by in the hallways. You greet her warmly when you sit at their table or in class.
"Your unhappy face is showing," Enid points out, a slight upward quirk on her lips as she bites into her sandwich.
"This is always my face," Wednesday deadpans.
"No, it's not," Enid shakes her head confidently. If there's one thing Enid can say, she stares at Wednesday a lot, so she knows her roommate very well. "You tilt your chin down and glare through your eyebrows more than look through them. It's very protruding," Enid points directly at Wednesday's eyebrow and forehead. "See? Unhappy face."
Xavier is looking at her through his apple, using it to shield how he's holding back his laughter as he grins at her.
Wednesday relaxes her brows, her eyes becoming less narrow before she raises her brow at Enid. "Then what face is this?" The werewolf ponders her roommate's face and then sighs like she's been chastised.
"General distaste," Enid mutters, but then she brightens as she looks up. "Oh, Fae is coming over here!"
"Why do you insist on calling her that when she has a name?" Wednesday asks. You never seem mad about it, and it's not like Wednesday would care if people walked around calling her witch instead of Wednesday, but it's another thing she doesn't understand.
"Hm," Enid hums. "I guess it just became a nickname when she came. I mean, I guess it's kind of weird to call someone by their creature name...should we try to come up with a new one for her?"
"Whatcha guys talking about?" You smile as you approach. You've got a grape lollipop in your mouth given to you by one of the shapeshifters. Xavier and Eugene move over so you can sit down, directly facing Wednesday. "Hi, Wednesday," you say her name so casually, staring at her until Wednesday nods in acknowledgment.
She's tense as she grips the edge of her book tightly. Her eyes are steadfastly attached to the pages even if she's not reading them.
"We're talking about how everyone started to call you Fae," Enid grins, her smile wide and excited, but then frowns. "I hope it doesn't bother you."
You hum for a long moment, a sound that Wednesday hangs onto. She can see you through her peripherals. You seem in deep thought, and Wednesday can't understand why it's taking you so long to decide whether it bothers you. She wants to tell you to hurry it up so she—they can have the answer.
"I supposed it started when one of the psychics saw me in person, and all he could stutter out was 'Fae' over and over," you shrug.
"Feeble-minded," Wednesday mutters, and you smirk at her, and now she's wondering what exactly that could mean.
"It doesn't bother me," you continue on. "I mean, I guess it's fine since there are no other faeries at the school, but it might be confusing when there are. I can't exactly go around calling on a person wolfy when that could be any of the werewolves here."
They all nod, except Wednesday.
"We should try to find a new nickname for you!" Eugene exclaims, emboldened by your friendliness to him. "How about nightcrawler!"
"As enchanting as that is, I'm going to have to veto that one," you give him a wry smile. He slumps in defeat while Xavier gives in a pat on the back.
"Oh," Enid squeals excitedly, and Wednesday shirk and winces at the sound. "We could all try to find a new nickname for you until we get the right one!"
"And why should we if Fae says it doesn't bother her?" Xavier asks as he turns over and gives you what Wednesday believes he thinks is a boyish smile.
"Spoken like a true simpleton," Wednesday cut in, still not looking up. "Will that be your new nickname?"
"Ouch," Xavier laughs, the insult falling off his back. Although, he doesn't doubt that's his contact name on Wednesday's phone. "Alright, I get it. Fine, the person who gets their nickname chosen gets Fae's number. How's that?" He looks over to you, and Wednesday snaps her head up, finally to look at you too.
You seem pensive. Another thing Wednesday knows but doesn't understand. It's getting irritating with how many things are adding up that Wednesday wants to know now and can't.
Nobody in the school has your number though they all see you on your phone as you stroll down the hallway. Wednesday has heard you turning people down when they ask for your number, citing how there've been too many requests, and the number of texts or calls you'd get would be too overwhelming. So, now it's been an unspoken rule between the school that no one gets your number if they cannot all have it.
You peer over at Wednesday, and she doesn't flinch away from your gaze. She refuses to lose whatever staring game you've created.
"Okay," you acquiesce, staring at Wednesday for a moment longer before standing up. "I'll see you guys in class. I'm going to see if the shapeshifters have more grape lollipops. They're my favorite."
Grape lollipops are your favorite. Is it just the lollipop, or is it grape in general?
"Well, this should be fun," Enid bounces her seat before she looks at Eugene. "I'm going to have to say it's looking unlikely for you, bud."
"I have more ideas!" Eugene protests.
"Never accept defeat," Wednesday looks back at her book, inwardly frowning when she's still on the same page she's been trying to read for the last 20 minutes. "Would be an acceptable suggestion for me. Accept defeat in this case, Eugene."
There's more bickering at the table while Enid bumps her shoulder against Wednesday. "So? Are you going to try to come up with something and get Fae's number?"
"No, it's a trivial matter. Why would I want it? The only time I ever use my phone is when you've dragged me into your 24/7 addiction and Xavier cries for my attention."
"I do NOT cry—"
"So, I have no need for it."
Plus, would you expect her to text you if she had your number? Would she even want to text you? Wednesday supposes it'd be an equal trade of information, so you'd have her number too. Should she expect you to text her?
Wednesday glances in her peripheral and sees you with another lollipop as you sit with the shapeshifters. You've got an apple in your hand, but you look at it blandly.
Not a fan of apples, then?
Wednesday feels annoyance gnaw at her insides. It's not irregular for Wednesday to sometimes show interest in others. Knowing others is valuable information that can be used at a later date.
But why in the hell does it take so long to get to know someone? Why can't Wednesday just know all your deep, dark secrets first and then make her way out to the trivial things?
"What a shame," Enid sighs casually, looking straight ahead, but her eyes tilt to the side to stare at her gloomy roommate. "I think having a phone and texting is great! It's way faster to get to know someone over text since you can always be in communication. You know what else is a thing? At 2AM, people lower their guard down, and they're more likely to spill secrets."
Wednesday slams her book shut, standing up and leaving briskly.
Research is needed. Her father has few skills, but one of them is coming up with nicknames. That skill should undoubtedly pass on to her.
Wednesday glances at you as she walks out of the courtyard. You look over at her and smile with a wave before turning back to your conversation.
Defeat is not in Wednesday's vocabulary. She will beat the constraints of time and know everything there is to know in haste. There will be victory, and it will be hers.

i may sound crazy for this but. skizz-lizzie siblings. no, jimmy and lizzie aren't siblings (not by blood at least), jimmy is pearl and grian's brother. but... ANYWAYS. I don't know where this idea came from but imo they're a very underrated duo so... ya :3
Ender/Fae genetics, Skizz got more of the first half of that and Lizz(ie) got more of the second. (And then Skizz died and came back able to shapeshift just like his sister could already do, but that's besides the point)
and of course if we play into one of my very favorite headcanons. imagine. the both of them growing up in the Seelie court (their land was much kinder to mortals, given that their ruler had fallen in love with one). skizz never quite fitting with the magical aspects, never understanding the thrill everyone else seemed to get from the Hunt. never quite perfecting the laws they have to abide by. meanwhile lizzie shaping up to be the perfect next ruler of the court, and yet still finding time for her little brother. helping him realize things about himself (*winks in transmasc*) even though she doesn't quite understand it (after all, the faeries are magical creatures, borne of it, exactly how they want to be in every way).
then one day skizz makes a friend on the edge of the forest's border! a mortal, half-demon and half-rock giant, who tries to kill him at first sight (before realizing that wait, nope, that's one of the fae, BAD IDEA). They get over it and become Besties. and skizz gives up some of that immortality, that magic, in order to well and truly live. mortality sounds fun! Lizzie, of course, sends him off with a smile and a reminder of her love in the form of some (non-magic-imbued) pastries. Skizz comes back two weeks later with some new friends in tow, stays a few days, leaves, comes back again. It continues.
And then one day, he brings another friend with him: a human, some kind of mage, with a streak of green in his hair. and gods, if lizzie isn't (internally) struck dumb at the sight of him!
At least she's subtle, though. The cute human is so obvious, turning into a blushing mess whenever he tries to talk to her, and honestly it's a little embarrassing at this point!
...doesn't change the fact that, a few years later, skizz comes back to the court for a very special occasion. Seems this lineage has a bad habit of falling for mortals, one way or another!
